Waltham residents were saddened to hear of the passing of Courtney Robinson, of Pembroke. He was the beloved husband of Esther Robinson (nee Hodgins). Courtney and Esther were former residents of Waltham. They raised their beautiful family here. Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with his wife Esther, family and friends at this difficult time.

Mike, Mikaela and Ben came for a visit on Saturday. It was so good to see them. Time just goes by and suddenly you realize how long it’s been since you saw them last.

Warm birthday wishes are extended to Suzanne Gagnon, who is celebrating her birthday on Nov. 8. Enjoy your special day Suzanne.

Gabriel Malette, grandson of Huguette and Garry Malette is celebrating his 16th birthday on Nov. 12. We hope that you enjoy your special day, Gabriel.

Monday Nov. 11 is Remembrance Day. On this solemn occasion, we need to reflect on the sacrifices of former generations, and also the current generation, who serve in Canada’s armed forces. Let us remember all of those, who paid the ultimate price, so that we could live freely in this beautiful country. In particular I would urge citizens of Waltham to visit the monument in the center of Waltham, on rue Principale, across the street from Our Lady of Perpetual Help church. Take time to read the names of the fallen and those who served. Lest We Forget.
