Holiday fiddle music was pouring out of the Jack Graham Community Centre on Saturday during Marché Bristol Market’s biggest Christmas event yet.

“We had the most vendors we’ve ever had,” said organizer Jennifer Gauthier. “We filled the hall and we still had four more outside. It was really busy all morning.”

The market also featured a raffle and a silent auction in support of Animal Aide Pontiac, which included donations from local businesses and artisans and raised over $800, as well as a special visit from Santa.

As a soundtrack to the Christmas market, longtime Bristol fiddle teacher Paulette Gauther and two of her students, Everly Griffin of Calumet Island and Suzanne Bertrand of Bristol, played a mix of holiday tunes and classic fiddle numbers throughout the morning.
