Congratulations go out to Nolan Sullivan’s hockey team who won gold in a 3 on 3 tournament on Saturday. After having a great week snowmobiling with his cousins at the Sullivan farm in Sheen, Nolan managed to get the GWG in the second game to put the team in the finals.
On March 13, The Young at Heart Club made and served Irish stew to 60 of their members at The Harrington Community Hall in Chapeau, Que. There was great entertainment by Larry Turner. After lunch the card players got together for their regular Wednesday game. Jerome Sallafranque mentioned that the number of club members has increased and he is hoping to have 80 for stew next year.
The L’Ancienne Banque, L’Isle-aux-Allumettes and George’s Bar, Chichester celebrated St Patrick’s Day on Sunday with a packed house at both. The Andrew Jones group played at the Bar and Gillian Rutz entertained at the Banque. It was a great day for all.
The Brennan sisters, (Teresa Samson, Lorna Agnesi and Joan McGuire) spent part of a day taking an oil painting lesson from Joan’s neighbour, artist, Myrna Surnoskie. They all painted a winter scene and had a very enjoyable day.
