Birthday greetings and best wishes go out to Mary McLeese and Donnie Lepine on Feb. 5, to Stephen Sallafranque on Feb. 7 and to Erla Picard and Dale Ryan on Feb. 11.
Wayne and Lynnann Storm had friends Dan and Mary Teresa Maloney of Trenton, Ont. and his brother-in-law Steve Muldoon visiting on the weekend. On Friday, they got to go snowmobiling using the trail network around Sheen.
Compliments to the trail groomer and guide of Fort William. Again on Saturday, Wayne Dan and Steve along with the Adam brothers, Eldon and Peter went on a snowmobile tour to Ladysmith, Shawville and around Norway Bay. The guys had a wonderful trip and the Pingouin Trails were perfect.
For a small community Sheen has approximately 15 members supporting the Pingouin Snowmobile Club which also helps to support the small businesses in our area during the off season. Snowmobiling is a great winter sport and it is important to respect the landowners property by staying on the designated trails and not littering. Just remember that landowners play a very important part in linking the trail system across the Pontiac or to your town. Travel safe and enjoy the sport.
A reminder for western Pontiac, the Residence Meilleur Committee will be holding an information night on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Harrington Community Centre. A seven year project is nearing completion.
