Birthdays celebrated this coming week are the Lapierre twins, Lois and Lou and Art McGuire on Dec.16 and Roy Gagnon on Dec. 19.
Congratulations go out to Denis Claude Fleury and his wife Lizl Rodriguez on the birth of Ciel Luna Fleury on Dec. 10, weighing 7 lbs. 14 oz. A granddaughter of Roger Fleury and Joyce Bryson and a great-granddaughter of Grace Bryson. I was told that great-gramma can’t wait to show her off in Sheen.

The Seniors of the Upper Pontiac held their Christmas dinner on Dec. 12. Special guests, Warden Jane Toller and Denise Morissette representing André Fortin, also attended the dinner. According to Jerome Sallafranque, there was an increase of 16 extra seniors over last year. The lovely Christmas music was provided by Larry Turner, one of our local musicians.
A pot luck dinner was held at George’s Bar on Wednesday evening, Dec. 12. We are very fortunate to have these Wednesday and Thursday night jams. The musicians do a great job and one never knows who might show up. Rain, hail or shine, George can always count on the Shawville gang. Leo Reddy is a very good musician who also joined the Fiddlers on Wednesday.
Since there will be no Sheen news the week of the 26, we would like to wish a happy birthday to our Christmas folks, Andrew Perrault on Dec. 26, the Lampkin twins Pat and Mike, Ross Carroll and Shelagh Sullivan on Dec. 27 and Sharon Picard on Dec. 28.
