Belated anniversary wishes go out to Meril and Iris Venasse Fleury who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 22. A celebration with family and friends took place at Northfork.

On Sunday afternoon, at the Lemke home a get together with family and friends was organized to celebrate Heather Lemke’s 60th birthday. She was quite surprised when her brother Cam and sister-in-law Judy of Kitchener, Ont. and their daughter Lindsey of Toronto, Ont. showed up. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.
On Saturday afternoon, John Brennan hosted Valley Radio Live From The Hunt Camp at the Darkhorse Lodge on Sheen Lake. It was a great afternoon of local talent that will be played on 98.7 during the Ontario Hunt. At the end of the show a lovely potluck meal was served to all. There was no shortage of food.

The municipality of Sheenboro apologizes for any inconvenience caused due to work being done on the wharf at Fort William. The contractor has been waiting to start these much needed repairs and there doesn’t seem to be a good time. If there are no delays the loading ramp should be ready by Wednesday.
I hear that the turkey supper for St. Alphonsus Parish was a great success with approximately 1,000 plus meals served. A tip of the hat to all the volunteers.
