The community Terry Fox Run last Sunday was a huge success. Congratulations to Carolann Barton and Jennifer Mielke for organizing this event. Carolann thanked Rick Valin and John Petty for entrusting them with their legacy. Bravo to all the volunteers and participants that made this event a success.
Our thoughts and prayers for the MacLennan and Russett families on the loss of Sheri on Sept. 1, at the age of 63. She was the mother of John and Kathlyn (Thomas).
Our deepest condolences to the Ryan family on the loss of Lyndon on Sept. 11, at the age of 79. She was the partner of Jean and the mother of Mark (Evelyn) and Vicky (Mark).
A PAS ladies night event, Denim and Diamonds, will take place on Friday, Sept. 20 at 6:00 pm at the Shawville Fairgrounds. Entertainment and vendors will be there.
Flushing of water lines will continue in Shawville this week. Residents may notice color change in water and water pressure.
