Our sympathies to the Murdock family on the loss of Francis on Oct. 4, at the age of 82. He was the father of Griffin (Tessie).

Every time a visitor comes to the Shawville-Clarendon Library and borrows a book in October a (print or digital book or magazine, video game, music CD, film DVD or board game) they will have a chance to win one of the three prizes offered – visit the library for more details. The prizes offered as part of this contest are: First prize – one Meta Quest 2 VR Headset; Second Prize: one Beats Studio Wireless Headphones; Third prize: one Kobo Libra ereader.

Our deepest condolences to the Yach family on the loss of Ronald on Oct. 6, at the age of 76. He was the husband of Sue and the father of Ryan.

Our thoughts and prayers for the Leach and Racine families on the loss of Esther on Oct. 6, at the age of 91. Esther was the wife of the late Edmond and the mother of Anne, Ted, Angie and Louis.

On Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Christ Embassy Bible Fellowship will be hosting “What does it mean when Jesus said Being Born Again” at the Shawville-Clarendon Library at 12:30 p.m. It is non-denominational. Please bring a Bible.

Our prayers for the hydro workers traveling from Canada to aid in restoring power in Florida after Hurricane Milton.

The Northern Lights have been putting a spectacular display in our skies for the past week.
