Quyon Social Notes

Deepest condolences are going out to the family of Gerard “Giggy” Trudeau, as he passed away on July 5 at the age of 87. Giggy was a pillar of our community, a local businessman for many years, and he was well known and loved by many. Our thoughts are with his son Mark and all of Giggy’s family at this sad time.

Birthday wishes are extended to Mack Baker, celebrating on July 15, and to Cowan Ramsay on the 16th. Happy birthday to Cindy Lapierre, as she celebrates on the 18th, to Kerry-Lynn O’Connell and Ricky Belland on the 19th, and to Louann Gibeault on the 20th. Best wishes to all who are celebrating special occasions this week.

After a busy late June and early July in Quyon, it feels like the lazy, hazy days of summer have arrived.  The past week has been filled with some of my favourite summer thing: reading on the deck, going for walks, swimming, watching ball games, and enjoying both the chip stand and ice cream. I hope you are all having a safe and happy summer so far.
