The Quyon Legion hosted National Legion Week with a full slate of events to kick off their membership renewals for 2025. On Thursday evening, there was a great turn-out for their Appreciation Day, which featured a free BBQ for all. Friday evening, they held a dart tournament, and on Saturday there was a washer tournament. They also held two draws for those who renewed their memberships early, to win their money back and receive a free membership. The two winners were Eddie McCann and Bill Hamilton. Congratulations to them, and kudos to the Legion for hosting such great events in our community.
Our condolences to the Chevrier family on the loss of Peter, as he passed away on Aug. 23 at home in Aylmer, QC. A funeral mass will be held on Sept. 26 at St. Mark’s Church in Aylmer, at 11 a.m.. Thoughts and prayers are with Peter’s loved ones at this sad time.
Happy birthday to Tristan Queale on Sept. 24, to his cousin Liam Queale on the 30th, and to their Poppa G on the 29th. We also have birthday wishes going out to Rolly Bernier on the 26th, and to Brandon MacKechnie on the 28th. Happy Birthday to Mason Howarth and his Grandpa Danny Foran, as they celebrate together on the 28th.
