Congratulations to Brady Trudeau and Cass Sullivan, as they were married this past weekend in Mont Tremblant. A group of close family and friends were there to celebrate with the newlyweds. Wishing them both a lifetime of love and laughter as they begin this next chapter as husband and wife.
Best wishes are going out to Cindy McKay, as she has retired after 35 years working for the federal government. Put your feet up and enjoy, Cindy.
Gavan’s Hotel hosted the Festival Fantome last Thursday and Friday, which was a two-day event featuring Timber Timbre, The Sadies, The Surfraje Hes, and many more bands and musicians. The festival drew big crowds on both nights, and I heard positive reviews from a few folks who attended. Many of the festival goers were bussed in from Ottawa as well. It sounded like an amazing experience.
Birthday wishes are going out to Ainslei Rusenstrom on Nov. 6, and to Louie Provost on the 11th. Happy birthday to Blake Harrison, Riley Meredith, Vicky Leach, and Heather Desabrais, as they all celebrate on the 12th. Best wishes to all who are celebrating special occasions this week.
This coming Saturday, Nov. 9, the Onslow Home & School Committee will be hosting their annual Christmas Craft Sale at the Quyon Community Centre. I am looking forward to taking part, as I will be there with my Watkins products. The hall will be full of local vendors and artisans, and they will also be serving lunch. It is a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season and get a start on your Christmas shopping. Hope to see you there.
On Sunday, the Quyon Legion will be holding a Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph. The service will be held at 2 p.m., and a light lunch will follow at the Legion. All are invited to attend. Be sure to purchase a poppy, attend a Remembrance Day ceremony, and support our Veterans and the Royal Canadian Legion.
