I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. We celebrated on Sunday, with the day beginning with a lovely service at Wesley United Church. The church had been decorated beautifully by the UCW, and it was just gorgeous. We then had a fabulous turkey dinner at my sister and brother-in-law’s in Chelsea, while also celebrating my nephew Caden’s 19th birthday. It was a perfect day enjoying the company of loved ones, good food, good drinks, and so very much to be thankful for.
Heartfelt condolences are extended to the Murdock family on the passing of Frannie on Oct. 4. He was an old friend of my dad’s, and so I have many great memories of Frannie over the years. He was a lot of fun, and he will be dearly missed.
Birthday wishes are going out to Luna Watson on the 16th, and to Henry Timpson on the 17th. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.
This coming Saturday promises to be a great one, as it is the annual Quyon Lionettes Car Rally. I am looking forward to hitting the back roads with my team, as we search for clues and answer questions in this beloved local tradition. We can’t wait to see what this year’s Rally holds in store for us. Good luck to all who are participating.
