The Onslow Christmas Craft and Bake Sale was absolutely wonderful on Saturday. The Home and School Committee deserve a big pat on the back for all their hard work organizing this huge community event.
The school was just buzzing with activity all day. There were so many local vendors and artisans set up selling their product and Santa Claus also arrived much to the delight of the children. They were all anxious to sit on his knee and share what they wanted for Christmas. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch of homemade soups, chili, buns and treats while we were there.
The Grade 6 class held a 50/50 draw and the winner was Maryon Courrier. It was such a fun event and it was great to see such a huge crowd out to support it. Kudos to all involved.
Big birthday wishes are going out to Hannah Dowe as she turns 4 on Nov. 14.
We had our last snack from Casse-Croute du Village on the weekend as the chip stand closed for the season on Sunday. A big thanks to Robert and his staff for a great year and great food. I’m already looking forward to seeing them back in the spring.
It’s the time of year again and I’ve been working on organizing the Christmas House Tour on behalf of the Quyon Pastoral Charge and I’m so excited that we have yet another great tour for this year. The tour is coming up on Dec. 3. I can’t wait.
The next breakfast at the Quyon Legion will be held on Nov. 25. They serve a great meal and it’s a good way to support the Legion. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
