St. Mary’s CWL in Quyon held its first meeting since June on the evening of Sept. 11. Opening prayers were followed by the previous month’s minutes, correspondence and the treasurer’s report.
Congratulations to the CWL School Bursury winners. The award is given to graduating students and chosen by the school staff. Liam Dow and Cynthia Cole from Onslow School and Annabelle Legere from St. Mary’s. The Pontiac High recipient’s name is to be given at a later date.

Our annual Christmas Tea is scheduled for Sat., Nov. 3 at the church. Pan to attend.
Our parish priest, Fr. Olivier Engouté has left our three parishes to continue his studies in Ottawa, Ont. He was with us for two years, replacing retiring Fr. Costello. His last mass at St. Mary’s was Sept. 30, followed by a small reception. We wish him well in his new pursuits.
We welcome our new parish priest Fr. Christian Kakule.
Sympathy and get well cards were sent out in our community as needed.
The warm days of summer have changed into the colour and colourful ones of fall. Each season brings its own beauty. Welcome fall. Enjoy.
