A police officer was treated for non life-threatening injuries after rolling his cruiser near Quyon on Canada Day.
Sgt. Martin Fournel, spokesman for the MRC Des Collines Police, said that one of their officers was travelling on Hwy. 148 around 7 p.m. when he started hydroplaning.
“He just lost control of the vehicle because of the water on the pavement, went in the ditch and rolled the car,” he said.
Fournel added that the car was wrecked and the officer will be off for at least four weeks to recuperate.
“It could have been worse,” he said.
