I heard a few people mention that March came in like a lion which means it will go out like a lamb. Mild weather is expected by the end of the month. Hearing that I felt a surge of hope. Many of us did. Between that and groundhog day you can see how desperate we Canadians feel, as we move toward the end of a long, cold, snowy winter. It’s almost funny that grown, fairly intelligent adults, can be driven to hope in pretend myths.
It shows that we need to have hope to keep going. Without it we easily give up. But hope has to be based on truth to bring us through tragedy and deep wounds. That’s why placing faith in what God says in His word becomes a fortress and an anchor. “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 Hope in the Lord.
