Dearest reader, allow me to reintroduce myself. 

I worked as a reporter and editor at THE EQUITY from 2016 to 2021, before leaving for a four-year stint at Pontiac’s community radio CHIP 101.9. Though there have been many times I’ve considered running away to join a taxidermy school, the Pontiac has been my home for nearly a decade and journalism remains my only marketable skill. 

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be returning to these pages starting in September, joining the great team in the newsroom. I hope to share with them my wealth of experience in what not to do. 

Covering this community for so long has been a privilege and in an era where local news publications are closing left and right, it’s heartening to know that our corner of God’s country still has institutions like this paper and CHIP.
