I’ve heard three people use the word “hell” this week due, I believe, to troubles they have been hit with.
Extreme situations bring out . . .
the deepest emotions. When pressed hard we tend to give in, give out or give up. But daily trials are not just mosquitoes in our tranquility. They have a God given purpose, like the tide as it presses endlessly toward the shore bringing with it the dredges from the bottom of the sea.
When trouble causes ugly relics to surface in our life, rather than despair we can lift each piece of debris to the Lord. Yes, He will take them. He is not afraid to get His hands dirty or bloodied by the filth and sharp edges of our offerings.
In His nail-scarred hands everything is changed. Rough edges are made smooth, dullness is polished, made to shine. He is the Master of the seen and the unseen. Nothing surprises Him. Nothing overwhelms Him.
All we need to do is be real, face the truth and let Him work. The results will be amazing.
