Sand Bay Fun Days features a weekend of activities on August 1 and 2, beginning with land, water, and kayak races at 9:00 AM on the beach this Saturday. Participants can register in advance by emailing Stacey_thom@hotmail.com, via Facebook, or in person on Friday July 31 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the swings.
Saturday’s schedule includes Sand Bay swag for sale on the beach and Shawville Fair’s pizza by the boat launch starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a live band at the ball park from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
The festivities conclude on Sunday with tie-dye at 11:00 AM and sandcastle building on the beach at 7:00 PM.

The Bryson Quebec Lions Club hosts an annual Sea Pie supper, also known as the Lions’ Picnic, during the August long weekend. This event, a long-standing tradition in Bryson for about 50 years, is a popular draw for those seeking the traditional sea pie dish. The event typically starts at noon and continues until the food runs out, even takes place at the Bryson Lions Hall. Sea pie, also known as cipaille, is a hearty, layered meat pie enjoyed by all.

Le Club Lions de Bryson, Québec, organise chaque année un souper de cipaille, également connu sous le nom de « pique-nique des Lions », pendant la longue fin de semaine d’août. Cet événement, une tradition bien établie à Bryson depuis environ 50 ans, attire de nombreux visiteurs en quête du plat traditionnel de cipaille. L’événement débute généralement à midi et se poursuit jusqu’à épuisement de la nourriture. Il a lieu à la salle des Lions de Bryson. La cipaille, aussi appelée « sea pie », est une tourtière consistante en couches de viande, appréciée par tous.
