Sheenboro Canada Day Celebrations

Sheenboro Canada Day Celebrations

When:
July 1, 2026
Time:
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Map:

We begin our day in the community hall with a hearty Lumberjack breakfast and silent auction. In the municipal park, beginning at 11:00, we have live music performing on our outdoor stage. There are children’s games (petting zoo, fish pond, ride-on cars, sand play, face painting), food and beverage tents that continue throughout the day. Opening ceremonies, hosted by Mayor Doris Ranger and our municipal council, is our opportunity to acknowledge the Indigenous land on which we are situated, to welcome representatives of our federal, provincial and municipal governments and to thank all our wonderful sponsors. Algonquin drummers are invited to perform. The parade is the main event of the day. Because Sheenboro has only one road through town, spectators get to see the parade twice. At nightfall, and weather permitting, we have fireworks at Fort William.
