It is almost time for the kids to head back to school. Boy how fast time flies by. The university and college kids will also be starting. Some parents have a hard time when they leave home for new adventures but it is a move in the right direction.
We had a busy weekend picking up our motor home, cleaning it and checking it out to see what needs to be done. It is a used one but in good shape. We are so lucky to have our new neighbour who moved in at the end of our place. This guy, Ehien Bertrand can fix anything. He works in Ottawa, Ont. at Porsche as a mechanic and also does body work. This guy knows his job. As soon as he heard we had bought this motor home he was up here checking it out. He knew a lot about it and what had to be done. It is so nice to see a young guy willing to work and who loves what he does.
I have been golfing lately with the girls on Wednesdays at Pine Lodge. It is good to get out and meet new people. We have a lot of fun and afterwards we go to the lodge for a nice plate of nachos which are very tasty.
I talked to my brother Peter in B.C. yesterday. He says the smoke out there is terrible. You can’t even go outside. He says he might come home for a visit.
My sister Ruth will be moving into a new place to live called Convenant Health Hospital Care Therese Villa in Lethbridge, AB. I hope we will be able to make a trip out there to see her with our mobile home. She has been suffering a lot with her arthritis and COPD.
I went to see my horses yesterday and they are doing well but the flies this year are horrible for them, but they have lots of land to run on.
My granddaughter Emily will be starting her second year at Algonquin College for social work. It is so nice to see these kids getting ahead in life. Also my niece, Stephanie Sharpe will be finishing her last year in nursing and also Erin will also be continuing on with her nursing education. I am so proud of them.
