This week, delivery of THE EQUITY, and newspapers across Canada, will resume. We expect a backlog of mail to arrive, including the past two issues (and this one). Because of the rotating nature of the ongoing postal strikes, some readers may continue to receive their copies a day or two later than usual. We appreciate your patience.
Before the strike, we announced some exciting changes to THE EQUITY that were originally planned for Oct. 1. These include expanding the paper to 12 pages every week (up from eight), along with several new and enhanced features we’re eager to share. With this expansion comes a small price increase for new subscriptions. If you’re already a subscriber, your renewal rate will remain the same.
These updates, including the new pricing, will now take effect Nov. 1, 2025.
Publishing a local newspaper is not easy. Costs to print, mail, and deliver THE EQUITY to more than 4,000 readers each week continue to rise, as do the costs of paying our staff a fair wage. Still, we’re encouraged by the strong support of our readers and advertisers, and we remain committed to informing, inspiring, and connecting the Pontiac for years to come.
