Wasn’t that another wintery weekend? I love the snow, so I was happy to see it coming down on Saturday night. I guess we . . .
should all be grateful we didn’t get as much as Newfoundland received. They will be digging out for days. I am looking forward to getting out snowshoeing and enjoying my favourite season.
I had an exciting day last Friday, as I traded in my car for a new Ford Escape. I had a great experience dealing with Shawville Ford as they made the process smooth and painless. A big thank you to them for setting me up with my new wheels.
On Saturday afternoon, I took part in an art workshop hosted by Shannon Purcell who taught us how to use alcohol inks. I absolutely loved the pieces we created while learning this technique. If you have the opportunity to take part in one of Shannon’s workshops I highly recommend it. It was a fun afternoon spent with a great group of ladies.
Our sympathies are extended to the family and friends of Remi Larose as he passed away on Jan. 9. We are also thinking of the family of Clifford Scully who passed away on Jan. 10. Condolences to their loved ones as they grieve.
Birthday wishes are going out to Kenny Fleck and Jaime Côté, both celebrating on Jan. 24, and to Sue Chabot on Jan. 27. Happy days to all celebrating this week.
Soup and sandwich lunches are back at Quyon United Church. They will be held the fourth Wednesday of the month from now until April and the first one is today. Looking forward to seeing everyone out.
