Congratulations and best wishes go out to Matt Morris and Chelsey Schryer who were married at St. Alphonsus Church at Chapeau on July 14. Dinner and reception was held at the Upper Pontiac Sport Complex.
The arena was beautifully decorated with personal touches including a bar built by Matt’s Uncle Joel and Aunt Debbie with barn board from the Morris farm. Also our grandson Wyatt Ranger was one of the attendants and flew home from Grand Prairie. It is always nice to have him home.
Congratulations also go out to Mark Morris and Kayla Rehel on the birth of their baby boy, Nolan Morris. This little guy was the youngest guest at the wedding.
A baby shower was held on Saturday at Tim Ranger and Sonya’s home in Deep River, Ont. for her daughter Jessica and her husband Shane Hodgins. Their baby is due in September.
A wedding shower was held in Mississauga, Ont. for Jessica Deanne and Emmett Sullivan. Their upcoming wedding will take place at St. Paul the Hermit Church in Sheenboro.
Last week, Betty Morris, Teresa Downey and Raymond Morris went to visit Joanne O’Gorman in Renfrew, Ont. They had a nice afternoon catching up on all the news in Sheen.
Congratulations to grandparents Mark and Fredi Hungate and parents John and Anna Gillis of Petawawa, Ont. on the arrival of Alexander Michael Gillis on July 11. A baby brother to Emanuel Francis who was born on July 18, 2017.
I had a nice visit with Harry Murphy and his daughter Katie on Saturday at Fort William, his favourite spot in the Pontiac.
The dock is now installed at Fort William.
Mass is celebrated at St. Paul the Hermit at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
