Local officials and members of the Mansfield Fire Department gathered on July 17 to announce the success of several fundraisers to support their purchase of a new Jaws of Life. Their Canada Day fundraising brought in a whopping $20,000 and the golf tournament last weekend added close to $5,000. Chief Darcy Belair said that their current Jaws of Life is around 30 years old and replacing it will set the department back $47,000.
