Dec. 12, at the age of 89.

Little Women a Live Radio Play by Pontiac Community Players will be presented at Quyon United Church on Dec. 20. On Dec. 21 it will be presented at Shawville United Church and on Dec. 22 at St. Andrew’s Knox Church in Bristol.

December 22 will be the 4th Sunday of Advent which means peace. The last purple candle is called the “Angels Candle,” Traditionally, on Christmas Eve, the white centre candle is lit. This “Christ Candle” represents the life of Jesus Christ that has come to light the world. It represents purity.

There will be a Seniors’ Drop-In on Dec. 19, at 1 p.m. at the former Masonic Hall on Main Street in Shawville.

Save the dates – Garbage pickup dates for Shawville are: Dec. 17, Dec. 23 and Jan. 3, 2020. Recycle pickup dates are Dec. 18 and Jan. 2, 2020.
