On Saturday evening, the Kendyl Smith-Trimm Caring for Kids CHEO Fundraiser was held at the Upper Pontiac Sports Complex in Chapeau. It was in memory of Cheryl Smith and Pat Trimm’s daughter Kendyl, who sadly lost her battle to cancer. There was music and entertainment  provided by the magic of Steven, Willy Rivet, the Hillbilly Deluxe band and Midlife Krisis.  There was tasty food, drinks raffles and door prizes. The fund raiser was a huge success.

Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with the Fleury family of Chapeau, in the recent passing of Owenie Fleury. He was the beloved husband of 62 years  to  Joan Fleury.

On Friday evening, family and friends gathered at the Waltham Station to celebrate Leitha Boisvert’s 80th birthday. Family and friends expressed their love and best wishes to Leitha. Everyone enjoyed a tasty meal and birthday cake.

Birthday wishes are extended to Gerald Dempsey, who celebrated his birthday on Sept. 12. Gerald may you be blessed with many more years of health and happiness.

Anniversary wishes and love is extended to Laurina and Gerald Dempsey, who celebrated their 63rd anniversary on Sept. 14. May you be blessed with many more.
