Local News: Mrs. Lloyd Queale entertained the Radford Hospital Auxiliary on Wednesday. In the absence of the president and vice-president, Mrs. H. Horner presided. Finished articles numbered 14. Collection $1.43. A donation of $50 from the Radford Auxiliary was given to the Pontiac Community hospital for the purchasing of a Perineal heater and surgical equipment.
Miss Hazel Naudett, former superintendent of Pontiac Community Hospital, left this week by motor for Saskatchewan where she has accepted the position of superintendent of a general hospital. She was accompanied by Miss Roberta Dale, who has also accepted a position in the same hospital.
Shawville Fair notes: We are pleased to report that the request for help secured some who are busy this week at the painting and other work. This repair work will continue until the fair days and the committee will require help right along on days suitable for the work in hand.
From the interest shown by prospective exhibitors, all available space in all buildings will be filled to capacity and must be in complete readiness before the fair.
