Messrs. McCredie & Hodgins, who suffered the loss of their factory last week, desire us to thank the people for their valued assistance in preventing the fire from communicating with their dwellings, which at one time, were in imminent danger of destruction. It is probable that Mr. Hodgins will undertake the re-building of the factory without delay, but on a site more isolated than the old one. This idea is one that will meet with the general approval of our citizens, who have always regarded the factory with a certain amount of alarm, on account of fire.
