Quyon Snowmobile Races: The third annual snowmobile races were carried out on the Ottawa River just off the beach on Saturday and Sunday.

Taking part in the opening ceremonies were Centennial Queen Miss Deb Young and two of her princesses.
Jim James of Arnprior took the most points for the day, winning among other contests, both the Open Stock Trophy and Modified Stock Trophy.

Two were tied for top honours in the Limited Stock competition, Mark Thompson and Bert Sheppard.
Gerard Trudeau, for the second year in a row, won the most points for a competitor from Pontiac County.

As usual, the Beach Barn was a busy place all day as the Ladies Auxiliary served meals and refreshments.
Planning council elects Cecil Vibert president: Cecil Vibert was elected president of the Pontiac Social Planning Council at the first meeting of the directors for 1975, held after the annual meeting last Wednesday in the Community Service Center, Campbell’s Bay.

Directors elected for the year were: Cecil Vibert, Alice Lawn (Secretary-Treasurer); Julien Fortin (Vice-President); David Mackenzie (past president); Giselle Ralston; Father Roland Pilon; Father Pelletier; Father Doug Bridge; Louis Fleury; John Godmere; Donald Lavallée, Emile Vallière and Rosaleen Dickson.
