PHS skiers join hundreds of students in journey across Gatineau Park

A group of cross-country ski enthusiasts from Pontiac High School (PHS) spent Feb. 26 completing a 15 kilometre trek through Gatineau Park. The skiers joined hundreds of high school students from across Western Quebec for this event, organized by Ski à l’école Outaouais. The PHS ski team for the day’s adventure included, from left, teacher Cindy Lottes, Ski à l’école’s Pontiac ambassador Katelyn Bertrand, students Bradley Arnold, Jackson Armstrong, Liam Mulligan, Griffin Lottes, Chase Dubeau, Titus Chamberlain, Isaiah Mzee, Connor Findlay, and teacher Jordan Kent. “The Gatineau Park has some really challenging parts to it. The first kilometre was very tough, even for a strong skier,” Kent told THE EQUITY following the trek. “This group had such a positive attitude.” Photo: Cindy Lottes
