Remembrance Day ceremonies took place in Otter Lake on Sunday at noon, bringing out a sizable crowd to the cenotaph downtown.
In lieu of Canadian Forces members, members of the Otter Lake Fire Department provided the vigil guard at the memorial.

Mayor Kim Cartier-Villeneuve addressed the crowd in both English and French, noting how important it was to remember the sacrifices of our armed forces. Fr. Réal Ouellette said a prayer for those in attendance.
Several members of the community took the opportunity to lay wreaths in remembrance. All attendees also got the chance to pin a poppy to a white cross.
The event concluded with a recording of “The Last Post” and all in attendance were invited back to the municipal hall for coffee and food.
