Ladysmith Winter Carnival
The Ladysmith Recreation Committee is hosting its first Winter Carnival on Saturday, February 21st, featuring a full day of activities for all ages. The event includes a ball hockey tournament for $250 per team, a euchre tournament for $5 per person, and a chili competition. Guests can also enjoy a community skate, a fire pit, and refreshments from the canteen and hot chocolate station. To register a team or for more details, please message the committee directly.
Otter Lake Native Alliance “Fish For Food" tournament
Where: Raymond Johnston Community Centre, 394 rue Tessier, Otter Lake

The day’s events include a pancake breakfast beginning at 6 a.m., a dart tournament, a spaghetti supper, and dancing into the evening. Prizes to be won for biggest catches. Non-perishable food donations will be collected for a chance to win a fishing trip.
Basic Genealogy: A workshop for beginners and experienced genealogists
Where: Upper Ottawa Valley Genealogical Group, 222 Dickson Street, Pembroke

Some experienced members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Genealogical Group (UOVGG) executive will be on hand to present this course on the basics of genealogy- where to start, where to search, how to record what you learn- and to answer your questions.
RAWQ Quiz Night

Snacks, wine, and a good time with friends new and old. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, or grab your friends and pay only $60 for a table of up to 6.
Chapeau Lions Club Breakfast
Where: Harrington Community Hall, 64 Chem. Pembroke, Chapeau
When: 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Come out and enjoy a breakfast while helping support the local community. Pancakes, sausages, beans, coffee, tea and orange juice. $7 for adults and $6 for children. All are welcome!
