CLSC official opening will feature elections, sea pie, and dance: On Sunday, May 23rd, the Polyvalente Sieur de Coulonge at Fort Coulonge will be the hub of activities all afternoon and evening as the CLSC celebrates its official opening.
During the afternoon a slide show will be presented with films in color and explanations in both French and English to describe the scope of the CLSC in Pontiac County.
One interesting item included in the information sheet sent to THE EQUITY regarding this official opening reads as follows:
“Will there be another publication of the Réveil du Pontiac?” “Le Réveil du Pontiac” was a French language weekly newspaper published at Pontiac Printshop Ltd. It was distributed by the parish priests of the County until people began subscribing for themselves. Eventually it was discontinued because it was unable to generate sufficient revenue to make it viable. However, since the CLSC of Pontiac has brought up the subject of reviving the “Réveil du Pontiac” they may have also discovered some way to make it economically feasible.
