The Way We Were:

Social: St. Paul’s church social on Wednesday evening last was favored with delightful weather and a fairly good attendance, the receipts at the door amounting to about twenty dollars. The program rendered consisted of a couple of choruses, several vocal solos, selections on the graphophone, a pretty drill by a bevy of little school girls, readings by the Archdeacon and Miss Macgregor, and an amusing address from Rev. R. Warrington. Rev. Mr. Boyle presided during the first part of the program and the Archdeacon during the latter part. Tea was served during intermission. Miss Thomson, of P. D. Fort, presided at the organ.

Campbell’s Bay notes: Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Lunam went to Portage du Fort on Saturday to visit friends, returning on Monday.

Mr. John A. Smith, who has been in Shawville for the past few weeks returned to Campbell’s Bay on Wednesday.

Mr. Sam Wilson, who has been in Michigan during the past year, returned recently. Evidently Sam thinks “there’s no place like home.”
