The Way We Were:

Local News: The opening of the modern Pontiac Community Hospital last fall and an excellent report on the work of the institution since November were highlights of the reports given at the most largely attended annual meeting ever held.

It was the 10th annual session of the hospital board and was held in the Shawville Theatre with the president, J.M. Argue in the chair.

The reports on current operations at the hospital were encouraging, showing that the hospital had carried on with a small surplus.

As a result of many weeks of persuasion and careful deliberation, the Rev. L.R. Mack has given his decision to remain on as pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Shawville.
