Shawville Calf Club Holds Fun Night At Stark’s Corners: Members of the Shawville Calf Club and other interested parties gathered at the Stark’s Corners hall for a fun night on Friday, October 20th.
The President Franklin Kilgour was master of Ceremonies. Piano and Saxe Duets were given by Melvin Poole and Ronnie Russell, piano duets by Faye Smart and Mrs. N. Smiley, Piano Solo by Faye Smart, Monologues by Mrs. S. Sly and F. Kilgour. Two humorous skits were presented by members of the club, “A Day on The Farm”, and “The Operation”.
A sing-song led by Mrs. E. Fulford with Mrs. C. Smart at the piano and some games brought the program to a close.
The supper was brought by the ladies in fancy boxes and sold by Douglas Fulford, to the gentlemen. The best decorated box was made by Patsy Fraser, who received the prize of a china cup and saucer.
Supper was served to the ones not having boxes and tea was served to everyone, by the ladies.
