Un groupe de parents de Campbell\u2019s Bay a pris l’initiative de faire quelque chose face \u00e0 ce qu’ils percevaient comme un manque d’\u00e9v\u00e9nements et d’activit\u00e9s pour les enfants dans leur ville.<\/p>\n

Lorsque Kellie Shea et sa belle-s\u0153ur Chanelle Shea se sont retrouv\u00e9es \u00e0 emmener constamment leurs jeunes familles \u00e0 des \u00e9v\u00e9nements pour enfants en dehors de leur communaut\u00e9, elles ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 qu’elles pouvaient faire quelque chose pour amener certains de ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements dans leur ville natale.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous en avions assez d’aller dans d’autres communaut\u00e9s pour participer \u00e0 leurs \u00e9v\u00e9nements pour enfants \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Kellie.<\/p>\n

En f\u00e9vrier dernier, le duo, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Roxanne Shea, Kate Laporte et Scott Laporte, a fond\u00e9 La Ruche des Parents \u2013 un comit\u00e9 qui organisera des \u00e9v\u00e9nements ax\u00e9s sur les enfants \u00e0 Campbell\u2019s Bay.<\/p>\n

Le premier \u00e9v\u00e9nement de la Ruche est une f\u00eate de quartier et un d\u00e9fil\u00e9 \u00e0 v\u00e9lo pr\u00e9vus ce samedi 31 mai, au parc comm\u00e9moratif Maurice-Beauregard.<\/p>\n

\u00ab C’est un \u00e9v\u00e9nement gratuit pour tous \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Kellie, expliquant que les enfants sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 se rendre au parc avec leurs v\u00e9los, leurs trottinettes, leurs chariots \u2013 vraiment tout ce qui a des roues, sauf une voiture \u2013 pour d\u00e9corer leur monture et d\u00e9filer.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous voulions que m\u00eame si les enfants venaient sans leurs parents, ils puissent tout de m\u00eame participer \u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 Kellie.<\/p>\n

L’\u00e9v\u00e9nement comprendra \u00e9galement une f\u00eate de quartier avec du maquillage pour enfants, des tirages de prix offerts par des entreprises locales et un barbecue payant.<\/p>\n

La Ruche des Parents pr\u00e9voit d’offrir davantage d’activit\u00e9s pour les tout-petits \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 chaque saison.<\/p>\n

Les fonds amass\u00e9s par le comit\u00e9 seront r\u00e9investis dans la communaut\u00e9 sous forme d’autres \u00e9v\u00e9nements et activit\u00e9s pour les enfants, ou seront utilis\u00e9s pour des objectifs pr\u00e9cis, comme l’installation d’un tableau de communication dans le parc pour aider les enfants \u00e0 exprimer ce qu’ils veulent faire.<\/p>

\u00ab Un petit premier objectif, mais nous voulions \u00eatre r\u00e9alistes \u00bb, a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 Kellie.<\/p>\n

Pour d\u00e9marrer, le groupe a re\u00e7u une subvention de 1 000 $ de Loisir sport Outaouais, \u00e0 laquelle s’est ajout\u00e9e une contribution \u00e9quivalente de la Municipalit\u00e9 de Campbell\u2019s Bay.<\/p>\n

Kellie a indiqu\u00e9 que le groupe b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d’un grand soutien au sein du conseil et n’a eu aucun probl\u00e8me \u00e0 faire approuver ses propositions de projets jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent. Le comit\u00e9 s’est \u00e9galement vu offrir l’utilisation gratuite de la salle RA de la ville et prendra en charge la gestion de la cantine les dimanches soirs au terrain de balle.<\/p>\n
