Le m\u00e9canicien de Campbell\u2019s Polaris, Connor Gilpin, \u00e9tait \u00e0 une f\u00eate lorsqu\u2019il a appris que deux v\u00e9hicules c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te venaient d\u2019\u00eatre vol\u00e9s de l\u2019atelier le 26 juillet.<\/p>\n

\u00ab \u00c0 0 h 06, j\u2019ai re\u00e7u une photo sur mon t\u00e9l\u00e9phone \u00bb, a-t-il dit du moment o\u00f9 il a re\u00e7u un message de la cam\u00e9ra de chasse qu\u2019il avait install\u00e9e pour surveiller l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur de l\u2019entreprise.<\/p>\n

Il a appel\u00e9 son p\u00e8re, le g\u00e9rant de Campbell\u2019s Polaris Steve Gilpin, qui lui a conseill\u00e9 d\u2019appeler la police.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Quinze minutes plus tard, ils sont arriv\u00e9s, mais c\u2019\u00e9tait trop tard \u2014 ils se sont \u00e9chapp\u00e9s par l\u2019arri\u00e8re \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Connor.<\/p>\n

En arrivant au travail, lundi, \u00e0 l\u2019entreprise de Shawville, Connor a d\u00e9couvert que deux autres v\u00e9hicules avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 vol\u00e9s plus t\u00f4t dans la soir\u00e9e du 26.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Un client est venu et il demandait si sa moto \u00e9tait pr\u00eate, et [ . . . ] je suis all\u00e9 la chercher, et j\u2019ai dit : \u00ab\u00a0Je suis d\u00e9sol\u00e9 de vous l\u2019apprendre, mais votre moto n\u2019est pas ici\u00a0\u00bb \u00bb, a-t-il dit. <\/p>\n

Selon les images de sa cam\u00e9ra de chasse et de la cam\u00e9ra de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 rotative de l\u2019atelier, Connor affirme que les vols semblent impliquer la m\u00eame personne, chaque fois avec un complice, volant deux v\u00e9hicules vers 20 h 30 le 26 juillet, puis revenant pour en voler deux autres juste apr\u00e8s minuit cette nuit-l\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Connor a dit qu\u2019il est impossible de confirmer \u00e0 partir des images si le complice est le m\u00eame chaque fois. \u00ab Nous ne pouvons pas distinguer le visage de l\u2019autre personne \u00bb, a-t-il dit.<\/p>\n

Les responsables de Polaris ont pu localiser un v\u00e9hicule gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son GPS int\u00e9gr\u00e9, en envoyant les coordonn\u00e9es \u00e0 la S\u00fbret\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec afin qu\u2019elle puisse le retrouver.<\/p>\n

Connor a dit que les agents l\u2019avaient trouv\u00e9 mercredi soir dans un endroit isol\u00e9 \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de deux heures au nord de Shawville, et l\u2019avaient ramen\u00e9 au concessionnaire jeudi matin.<\/p>

Il a dit que m\u00eame si aucun des trois autres v\u00e9hicules n\u2019avait de GPS int\u00e9gr\u00e9, il esp\u00e8re que la police pourra utiliser les capacit\u00e9s de suivi du premier v\u00e9hicule pour retrouver les trois autres.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Les policiers peuvent suivre tous les d\u00e9placements de cette moto \u00bb, a-t-il dit.<\/p>\n

Connor a dit que les voleurs auraient d\u00fb faire descendre les v\u00e9hicules d\u2019une chute abrupte de 40 pieds \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re de l\u2019enclos verrouill\u00e9 o\u00f9 ils gardent leurs v\u00e9hicules, juste pour les faire sortir du terrain de Polaris. \u00ab Je n\u2019aurais jamais cru que quelqu\u2019un irait rouler l\u00e0-bas. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Il a dit que l\u2019arri\u00e8re de l\u2019enclos, qui est habituellement cl\u00f4tur\u00e9, \u00e9tait ouvert derni\u00e8rement en raison des r\u00e9novations qu\u2019ils effectuent.<\/p>\n

Les premiers vols ont eu lieu peu apr\u00e8s 20 h le samedi soir, soit moins d\u2019une demi-heure apr\u00e8s que Connor soit parti pour sa f\u00eate \u00e0 Campbell\u2019s Bay. Steve \u00e9tait \u00e9galement en vacances cette semaine-l\u00e0.<\/p>\n

\u00ab C\u2019est quelqu\u2019un qui conna\u00eet la r\u00e9gion, c\u2019est certain \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Connor.<\/p>\n

Steve a dit que l\u2019atelier n\u2019avait jamais eu de probl\u00e8mes de vol, et qu\u2019il pensait qu\u2019ils faisaient un bon travail pour s\u00e9curiser les lieux, mais qu\u2019il envisage maintenant des changements.<\/p>
