L&rsquo;exposition est vaste et s&rsquo;appuie fortement sur les r\u00e9centes diversifications de son portfolio de techniques.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;exposition est elle-m\u00eame une invitation ouverte, superpos\u00e9e \u00e0 certaines des convictions personnelles et de longue date de M<sup>me<\/sup> Fletcher, \u00e0 d\u00e9manteler le proverbial quatri\u00e8me mur s\u00e9parant les artistes de leur public, les artistes en herbe des artistes confirm\u00e9s et l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rimentation du prouv\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous sommes tous des artistes \u00e0 notre fa\u00e7on. Si nous voulons d\u00e9velopper notre voie artistique, nous devons simplement d\u00e9velopper nos capacit\u00e9s, exp\u00e9rimenter nos techniques et avoir confiance en nous-m\u00eames \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 une M<sup>me<\/sup> Fletcher rayonnante, entour\u00e9e d&rsquo;un grand groupe de partisans lors du vernissage de mercredi soir.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab \u00ab <em>Transformations<\/em> \u00bb a tellement de significations \u00bb, a-t-elle plaisant\u00e9 en laissant aux spectateurs leur propre espace pour interpr\u00e9ter et appr\u00e9cier sa cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9. Sur un mur, il y avait un cheval-esprit, une image pour laquelle M<sup>me<\/sup> Fletcher est connue, rayonnant d&rsquo;une aura \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9e de possibilit\u00e9s. Une \u0153uvre voisine pr\u00e9sentait ce qui ressemblait \u00e0 une version d&rsquo;une tache d&rsquo;encre de Rorschach encadr\u00e9e dans du bois non fini et associ\u00e9e \u00e0 une deuxi\u00e8me tache d&rsquo;encre, toutes deux conspirant \u00e0 inspirer et \u00e0 enchev\u00eatrer \u00e0 parts \u00e9gales.<\/p>\n<p>D&rsquo;une part, le titre de l&rsquo;exposition fait allusion \u00e0 la transformation d&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9ments apparemment non artistiques, comme les feuilles et les plumes, en art. D&rsquo;autre part, le titre de l&rsquo;exposition fait allusion \u00e0 la propre transformation et \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9volution de M<sup>me<\/sup> Fletcher en tant qu&rsquo;artiste, et d&rsquo;une autre encore, il fait allusion aux nuances philosophiques du changement impr\u00e9visible rendu manifeste par les techniques avec lesquelles elle exp\u00e9rimente. Quelle que soit la fa\u00e7on dont on l&rsquo;aborde, <em>Transformations<\/em> invite \u00e0 l&rsquo;intrigue.<\/p>\n<p>M<sup>me<\/sup> Fletcher a longtemps \u00e9crit sur l&rsquo;environnement sous de nombreux angles, et ce qui leur est commun est son \u00e9merveillement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et son d\u00e9sir de d\u00e9fendre tout ce qui est naturel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment, elle embrasse la nature dans sa vie et ses formes d&rsquo;art, tout en cherchant activement des m\u00e9thodes par lesquelles elle peut encore mieux envelopper les essences de la nature qu&rsquo;elle trouve autour d&rsquo;elle, \u00e0 la fois dans sa technique et dans son corpus de preuves artistiques. Car qu&rsquo;est-ce qu&rsquo;un h\u00e9ritage sinon un corpus de preuves, et M<sup>me<\/sup> Fletcher souhaite ardemment que la nature ait les deux.<\/p>\n<p>Dans cette exposition, M<sup>me<\/sup> Fletcher pr\u00e9sente magnifiquement son adaptation et son expertise d&rsquo;une technique relativement nouvelle appel\u00e9e la teinture v\u00e9g\u00e9tale.
