Un propri\u00e9taire de restaurant de Shawville, reconnu coupable d’un chef d’agression sexuelle contre une ancienne employ\u00e9e, fera appel de la d\u00e9cision et compara\u00eetra pour la premi\u00e8re fois devant la Cour d’appel provinciale \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al le 18 f\u00e9vrier. <\/p>\n

L’accus\u00e9, un propri\u00e9taire de Lello\u2019s Pizza & Shawarma, a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnu coupable d’agression sexuelle contre une ancienne employ\u00e9e lors de son proc\u00e8s du 1er<\/sup> octobre.<\/p>\n

Dans des documents judiciaires provenant d’un t\u00e9moignage entendu en janvier 2023, la victime a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l’accus\u00e9, \u00e0 des occasions distinctes, lui a agripp\u00e9 les hanches, a frott\u00e9 son bassin contre son derri\u00e8re, l’a gifl\u00e9e aux fesses, l’a mass\u00e9e et a plac\u00e9 un terminal de paiement dans sa poche arri\u00e8re pendant qu’elle travaillait.<\/p>\n

\u00c9galement lors du proc\u00e8s du 1er<\/sup> octobre, l’accus\u00e9 et sa femme faisaient face \u00e0 un second chef d’agression sexuelle d\u00e9pos\u00e9 par une autre ancienne employ\u00e9e, mais tous deux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 acquitt\u00e9s de l’accusation. <\/p>\n

Simon Pelletier, procureur de la Couronne pour les poursuites criminelles et p\u00e9nales, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que cette affaire \u00e9tait sous le coup d’une interdiction emp\u00eachant la publication de tout d\u00e9tail identifiant la victime. <\/p>\n

Plus t\u00f4t ce mois-ci, M. Pelletier a dit \u00e0 THE EQUITY qu’il avait re\u00e7u l’avis d’appel de la d\u00e9cision de l’accus\u00e9. Lorsque THE EQUITY a contact\u00e9 l’avocat de la d\u00e9fense de l’accus\u00e9, Dominik Robinson, pour conna\u00eetre la raison de l’appel, il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu’il ne ferait aucun commentaire sur l’affaire. L’accus\u00e9 lui-m\u00eame a \u00e9galement refus\u00e9 de commenter.<\/p>\n

Bien que le nom de l’accus\u00e9 soit disponible dans les documents judiciaires, THE EQUITY a choisi de ne pas le publier tant qu’une d\u00e9cision d’appel n’aura pas \u00e9t\u00e9 rendue.<\/p>\n

L’accus\u00e9 compara\u00eetra pour la premi\u00e8re fois devant la Cour d’appel de Montr\u00e9al le 18 f\u00e9vrier. Il doit toujours compara\u00eetre le 6 janvier pour la d\u00e9termination de sa peine concernant la d\u00e9cision initiale.  <\/p>\n

THE EQUITY suit cette affaire et fournira des mises \u00e0 jour au fur et \u00e0 mesure qu’elles seront disponibles.<\/p>\n

Les victimes d’actes criminels, ainsi que leurs membres de famille et les t\u00e9moins, peuvent acc\u00e9der \u00e0 une multitude de services par l’entremise du Centre d’aide aux victimes d’actes criminels (CAVAC), qui a un bureau \u00e0 Campbell’s Bay. Les services vont du soutien psychologique \u00e0 court terme \u00e0 des conseils sur le fonctionnement des tribunaux. Le bureau de Campbell’s Bay peut \u00eatre joint au 1-877-648-2764, ou la ligne g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du CAVAC est le 1-866-LECAVAC (532-2822).<\/p>
