La propri\u00e9t\u00e9, un terrain en grande partie bois\u00e9 avec une fa\u00e7ade sur la rivi\u00e8re des Outaouais, appartient \u00e0 la municipalit\u00e9 depuis 1994, date \u00e0 laquelle elle a achet\u00e9 le lot pour 60 000 $ \u00e0 Stone Consolidated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Selon un extrait de The Equity apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;achat, le maire de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque, Jack Graham, avait d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le terrain pourrait s&rsquo;av\u00e9rer utile si le parc public de Norway Bay devenait un jour surpeupl\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Aucun d\u00e9veloppement n&rsquo;a jamais eu lieu sur ce terrain, bien que des id\u00e9es aient \u00e9t\u00e9 soulev\u00e9es au conseil par le pass\u00e9. En 1999, un groupe de r\u00e9sidents a propos\u00e9 d&rsquo;am\u00e9nager un parc naturel et une plage sur le site, mais le conseil a finalement rejet\u00e9 cette proposition, citant les pr\u00e9occupations des propri\u00e9taires de chalets de la communaut\u00e9 de Pontiac Station. En 2000, le promoteur de Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Andr\u00e9 Bendwell a propos\u00e9 de construire 105 chalets en bois rond sur la propri\u00e9t\u00e9, mais cela non plus n&rsquo;a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 retenu par le conseil.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Maintenant que CNC propose d&rsquo;acheter le terrain, le conseiller de Bristol Greg Graham exhorte le conseil \u00e0 refuser la vente.<\/p>\n<p>Il a dit que bien que Bristol n&rsquo;ait pas encore fait de progr\u00e8s vers la cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;un parc, le terrain a le potentiel pour un certain type d&rsquo;utilisation r\u00e9cr\u00e9otouristique \u00e0 l&rsquo;avenir. <\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous avons d&rsquo;autres probl\u00e8mes \u00e0 r\u00e9gler d&rsquo;abord \u00bb, a-t-il dit, ajoutant que le conseil pourrait \u00e9ventuellement envisager la cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;un parc, et que la vente du terrain emp\u00eacherait la municipalit\u00e9 de d\u00e9terminer son avenir.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La mairesse de Bristol, Valerie Twolan-Graham, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu&rsquo;aucune d\u00e9cision finale n&rsquo;a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise concernant l&rsquo;avenir du terrain. La municipalit\u00e9 a re\u00e7u l&rsquo;offre pendant les \u00e9lections municipales de l&rsquo;automne dernier et n&rsquo;a eu l&rsquo;occasion d&rsquo;examiner la proposition pour la premi\u00e8re fois qu&rsquo;\u00e0 la r\u00e9union du 12 janvier. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mme Twolan-Graham a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que depuis lors, elle a entendu des r\u00e9sidents pr\u00e9occup\u00e9s par l&rsquo;avenir de la propri\u00e9t\u00e9, qui comprend une plage et est \u00e9galement travers\u00e9e par l&#8217;emprise ferroviaire du CN utilis\u00e9e par les v\u00e9hicules hors route tels que les VTT.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Elle a dit qu&rsquo;un repr\u00e9sentant de CNC assistera \u00e0 la r\u00e9union du conseil du 2 f\u00e9vrier, o\u00f9 le conseil pr\u00e9sentera ses propres pr\u00e9occupations concernant l&rsquo;avenir du terrain.&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"theeq-paragraph-10 theeq-entity-placement\" style=\"text-align: center;\" id=\"theeq-2096821504\"><div class=\"theeq-adlabel\">Advertisement<br><\/div><div id=\"theeq-490369770\"><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/lotodamedecoeur.ca?utm_source=website&#038;utm_medium=web_banner&#038;utm_campaign=3rd_edition&#038;utm_id=the_Equity_Journal&#038;utm_content=starting_march2026\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Queen of Hearts Lottery\"><img src=\"https:\/\/theequity.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/queen-of-hearts-banner.jpg\" alt=\"Queen of Hearts Lottery\"  srcset=\"https:\/\/theequity.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/queen-of-hearts-banner.jpg 600w, https:\/\/theequity.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/queen-of-hearts-banner-300x100.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theequity.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/queen-of-hearts-banner-150x50.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" width=\"600\" height=\"200\"   \/><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n<p>\u00ab Nous aimerions que les r\u00e9sidents continuent \u00e0 profiter d&rsquo;une magnifique plage qu&rsquo;ils utilisent depuis des ann\u00e9es \u00bb, a-t-elle dit, ajoutant que l&rsquo;utilisation de l&#8217;emprise ferroviaire est \u00e9galement un point important de friction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Bien que la responsable des communications de CNC, Gabrielle Goyette, n&rsquo;ait pas pu commenter l&rsquo;offre d&rsquo;achat, l&rsquo;organisation poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement un terrain situ\u00e9 deux lots \u00e0 l&rsquo;ouest de celui en question. Elle a dit que ce terrain est valoris\u00e9 en raison de la pr\u00e9sence de certaines plantes et animaux \u00e0 risque.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab La valeur \u00e9cologique de la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9side principalement dans la protection de l&rsquo;habitat de la tortue mouchet\u00e9e. Bristol poss\u00e8de la plus grande population connue de cette esp\u00e8ce menac\u00e9e au Qu\u00e9bec \u00bb, a-t-elle \u00e9crit, ajoutant que les efforts de conservation sur le terrain incluent l&rsquo;installation de r\u00e9gulateurs de niveau d&rsquo;\u00e9tang pour maintenir l&rsquo;habitat des esp\u00e8ces \u00e0 risque comme la tortue mouchet\u00e9e.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mme Goyette a \u00e9crit qu&rsquo;il y a des sentiers disponibles sur la propri\u00e9t\u00e9, m\u00eame s&rsquo;ils ne sont pas correctement balis\u00e9s. \u00ab La propri\u00e9t\u00e9 reste accessible pour la randonn\u00e9e, les visites touristiques [et] l&rsquo;observation des oiseaux en dehors de la saison de chasse au cerf \u00bb, a-t-elle \u00e9crit. Le public peut utiliser les terres conserv\u00e9es par CNC tant que cela n&rsquo;est pas interdit par une signalisation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Selon CNC, les activit\u00e9s qui ne sont pas autoris\u00e9es sur leurs propri\u00e9t\u00e9s comprennent les feux, les nuit\u00e9es ou le camping, le fait de jeter des d\u00e9tritus et l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s avec des v\u00e9hicules r\u00e9cr\u00e9atifs. Mais Mme Twolan-Graham a dit qu&rsquo;il pourrait y avoir une certaine marge de man\u0153uvre pour n\u00e9gocier certaines choses, bien que les points de friction exacts de la n\u00e9gociation ne soient pas encore publics.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Il n&rsquo;y a pas eu de discussion au cours des quatre derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Nous savons qu&rsquo;il y a un int\u00e9r\u00eat public en jeu \u00bb, a-t-elle dit, ajoutant que les pr\u00e9occupations du public et du conseil seront abord\u00e9es le 2 f\u00e9vrier. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Bien que M.
