{"id":292786,"date":"2026-06-20T18:21:20","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T22:21:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theequity.ca\/nouvelles-saveurs-chez-kojacks\/"},"modified":"2026-06-20T18:21:20","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T22:21:20","slug":"nouvelles-saveurs-chez-kojacks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theequity.ca\/fr\/nouvelles-saveurs-chez-kojacks\/","title":{"rendered":"Nouvelles saveurs chez Kojack\u2019s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>L\u2019un des plus anciens restaurants de Shawville fait peau neuve.<\/p>\n<p>Le restaurant Kojack\u2019s, la seule destination pour la cuisine chinoise \u00e0 Shawville, est ouvert depuis 1988, lorsque le propri\u00e9taire Jack Ko s\u2019est install\u00e9 en ville apr\u00e8s avoir quitt\u00e9 Gatineau.<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui, les deux nouveaux propri\u00e9taires de l\u2019\u00e9tablissement affirment vouloir apporter de nouvelles saveurs au menu.<\/p>\n<p>Les partenaires d\u2019affaires Robin Luo et Sinam Ng sont tous deux originaires de Chine, mais en 2007, ils ont d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 \u00e0 London, en Ontario. \u00c0 partir de 2015, ils ont exploit\u00e9 un restaurant de 250 places dans cette ville.<\/p>\n<p>M. Luo a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que leur restaurant a ferm\u00e9 en 2022 parce que la cha\u00eene de supermarch\u00e9s sino-canadienne T&amp;T a ouvert un restaurant de type buffet \u00e0 proximit\u00e9, les for\u00e7ant \u00e0 cesser leurs activit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, les deux partenaires ont appris que M. Ko, un ami de l\u2019industrie, envisageait de vendre son restaurant \u00e0 Shawville. M. Ng est venu \u00e0 Shawville en novembre 2025 pour aider son ami en cuisine apr\u00e8s que M. Ko ait subi une intervention chirurgicale qui l\u2019a rendu incapable de travailler. En janvier, M. Ng et M. Luo ont officiellement repris l\u2019\u00e9tablissement.<\/p>\n<p>M. Ng parle peu l\u2019anglais, c\u2019est pourquoi M. Luo s\u2019est adress\u00e9 \u00e0<br \/>THE EQUITY au nom des deux propri\u00e9taires. M. Luo a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les clients leur demandent ce qu\u2019ils comptent faire avec le menu, ajoutant qu\u2019ils veulent conserver de nombreux plats qui sont devenus des favoris des clients.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Jack [est ici] depuis de nombreuses ann\u00e9es, c\u2019est une entreprise prosp\u00e8re. Nous essayons donc de faire comme lui \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Luo.<\/p>\n<p>Mais il a ajout\u00e9 qu\u2019ils souhaitent \u00e9galement ajouter de nouveaux plats chinois plus \u00ab traditionnels \u00bb au menu pour le plaisir des convives.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous ajoutons des plats sp\u00e9ciaux [que] les chefs recommandent \u00bb, a-t-il dit, donnant quelques exemples de plats qu\u2019ils exp\u00e9rimentaient, notamment du b\u0153uf coup\u00e9 en d\u00e9s au poivre noir, du poulet chinois au s\u00e9same et des nouilles de riz au b\u0153uf.<\/p><div class=\"theeq-paragraph-10 theeq-entity-placement\" style=\"text-align: center;\" id=\"theeq-3866268883\"><div class=\"theeq-adlabel\">Advertisement<br><\/div><div id=\"theeq-3611079828\"><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/lotodamedecoeur.ca?utm_source=website&#038;utm_medium=web_banner&#038;utm_campaign=3rd_edition&#038;utm_id=the_Equity_Journal&#038;utm_content=starting_march2026\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Queen of Hearts Lottery\"><img src=\"https:\/\/theequity.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/queen-of-hearts-banner.jpg\" alt=\"Queen of Hearts Lottery\"  srcset=\"https:\/\/theequity.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/queen-of-hearts-banner.jpg 600w, https:\/\/theequity.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/queen-of-hearts-banner-300x100.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theequity.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/queen-of-hearts-banner-150x50.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" width=\"600\" height=\"200\"   \/><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n<p>M. Luo a indiqu\u00e9 qu\u2019il y aura quelques modifications mineures au fonctionnement du restaurant. Alors que M. Ko avait trois cuisiniers en cuisine, M. Luo a dit qu\u2019ils en auront quatre. Il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019ils ont apport\u00e9 des mises \u00e0 jour \u00e0 la cuisine, remplac\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9quipement et rendu la cuisine plus spacieuse afin d\u2019accommoder ce changement.<\/p>\n<p>Mais les propri\u00e9taires esp\u00e8rent que ce nouveau changement leur permettra de servir la communaut\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re plus constante. M. Luo a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le restaurant sera d\u00e9sormais ouvert sept jours sur sept, de 11 h \u00e0 21 h.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous pourrons offrir plus de nourriture [de cette fa\u00e7on] \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019il avait d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de vendre le restaurant apr\u00e8s son op\u00e9ration \u00e0 la jambe, ce qui l\u2019a rendu impossible de continuer \u00e0 g\u00e9rer le restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Je suis trop vieux maintenant. J\u2019ai 70 ans, je dois prendre ma retraite \u00bb, a-t-il dit.<\/p>\n<p>M. Ko a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019il avait appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 d\u2019avoir une client\u00e8le fid\u00e8le au fil des ans. Il a dit qu\u2019il croyait que sa nourriture parlait d\u2019elle-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Si le prix est bon et la nourriture est bonne, les gens continuent de venir. C\u2019est une petite ville, tout le monde sait si votre nourriture n\u2019est pas bonne. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Il a dit qu\u2019il avait h\u00e2te de se reposer \u00e0 la retraite et d\u2019\u00eatre pr\u00e8s de sa famille \u00e0 Toronto. Il a dit qu\u2019ils appr\u00e9ciaient la r\u00e9gion, et que c\u2019\u00e9tait bien pour lui car il peut \u00eatre proche de sa fille qui \u00e9tudie \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 d\u2019Ottawa.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Tout le monde est amical et c\u2019est calme. La rivi\u00e8re est belle, et le barrage, et la route [de] Toronto.
