L’hiver a fait un dernier tour de piste dimanche, juste \u00e0 temps pour le carnaval d’hiver annuel de Campbell\u2019s Bay. <\/p>\n

Sous un soleil \u00e9clatant et des temp\u00e9ratures avoisinant les -15\u202f\u00b0C, les jeunes \u00e9taient nombreux \u00e0 la patinoire de la ville. <\/p>\n

Ragaillardis par les hot-dogs, le chili maison et les s’mores, certains d\u00e9valaient la pente de glissade, seuls ou entass\u00e9s avec d’autres enfants, certains jouaient un peu au hockey sauvage, et d’autres encore se roulaient simplement dans la neige comme si c’\u00e9tait la derni\u00e8re fois qu’ils la verraient. <\/p>\n

L’\u00e9v\u00e9nement de cette ann\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9 par la municipalit\u00e9 et organis\u00e9 par le Parent Hive, un groupe de parents relativement nouveau qui organise diverses activit\u00e9s pour enfants tout au long de l’ann\u00e9e. <\/p>\n

\u00ab\u202fNous n’\u00e9tions pas s\u00fbrs d’avoir de la glace aujourd’hui, mais il a fait froid la nuit derni\u00e8re\u202f\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Kate Laporte, qui a organis\u00e9 l’\u00e9v\u00e9nement avec Chanelle et Kellie Shea. <\/p>\n

La journ\u00e9e comprenait des activit\u00e9s telles qu’une cuisine de neige ext\u00e9rieure, un concours de tirs au hockey et plusieurs exp\u00e9riences scientifiques hivernales dirig\u00e9es par Chanelle. Le chaos a \u00e9t\u00e9 apais\u00e9 pendant au moins 10\u202fminutes, les enfants regardant attentivement tandis qu’elle d\u00e9montrait \u00e0 la fois un volcan de neige color\u00e9, cr\u00e9\u00e9 \u00e0 l’aide d’une vieille bouteille de boisson gazeuse remplie de bicarbonate de soude et de vinaigre color\u00e9, et une exp\u00e9rience de bulles gel\u00e9es. <\/p>\n

Le conseiller Tim Ferrigan s’occupait du barbecue \u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur, maintenant l’approvisionnement en hot-dogs bien garni, tandis que Debbie Hirst et le conseiller Willy Rivet les distribuaient avec du chili maison. <\/p>\n

Chanelle a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu’elle croyait que le carnaval \u00e9tait l’un des plus fr\u00e9quent\u00e9s \u00e0 ce jour. <\/p>\n

Le prochain \u00e9v\u00e9nement du Parent Hive est un d\u00e9fil\u00e9 de v\u00e9los en mai. <\/p>\n
