Dimanche apr\u00e8s-midi, des repr\u00e9sentants du Parti canadien du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e9taient \u00e0 Shawville, au restaurant Hursty\u2019s, pour une rencontre avec des partisans locaux. Le parti a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 en juin 2022, juste avant les pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes \u00e9lections provinciales. Le site web du parti indique qu\u2019il d\u00e9fend les droits linguistiques, le bilinguisme et l\u2019unit\u00e9 nationale.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Le candidat de Pontiac, Will Twolan, \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent dimanche et a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019il \u00e9tait heureux de repr\u00e9senter le parti une fois de plus. Il s\u2019est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 aux \u00e9lections de 2022, terminant septi\u00e8me avec 475 voix (1,66\u00a0%).<\/p>\n

Ayant r\u00e9cemment obtenu un baccalaur\u00e9at en science politique et communications de l\u2019uOttawa, Twolan poursuivra une ma\u00eetrise en communications \u00e0 la m\u00eame institution cet automne.<\/p>\n

Il a critiqu\u00e9 le Parti lib\u00e9ral provincial et sa position sur la Loi 96, la refonte de 2022 de la Loi 101, la Charte de la langue fran\u00e7aise de la province. Cette loi de grande port\u00e9e a resserr\u00e9 les r\u00e8gles concernant tout, de l\u2019affichage en anglais dans les commerces aux r\u00e8gles d\u2019inscription des c\u00e9geps anglophones.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Si l\u2019on regarde le bilan des Lib\u00e9raux au cours des x derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es o\u00f9 nous avons eu M. Fortin dans la r\u00e9gion, qu\u2019avons-nous obtenu exactement en termes de r\u00e9sistance pour nos droits?\u00a0\u00bb a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9. \u00ab\u00a0Plus r\u00e9cemment, nous voyons les Lib\u00e9raux encore tenter d\u2019appliquer la Loi 96, m\u00eame le nouveau chef dit qu\u2019il soutient \u00e0 100\u00a0% l\u2019utilisation de la clause d\u00e9rogatoire qui bafoue nos droits. Au final, il est \u00e0 100\u00a0% en faveur de la Loi 96. Dans notre r\u00e9gion, je sais que la Loi 96 est un enjeu majeur.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019il pr\u00e9voyait prendre la route et faire du porte-\u00e0-porte dans toute la circonscription \u00e0 l\u2019approche des \u00e9lections pour pr\u00e9senter son parti aux \u00e9lecteurs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0\u00c0 l\u2019approche des \u00e9lections, vous nous reverrez peut-\u00eatre ici. Personnellement, je pr\u00e9vois faire du porte-\u00e0-porte ici dans Pontiac autant que possible\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il affirm\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Le chef du parti, Joseph Cianflone, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00e9tait un pr\u00e9lude \u00e0 une conf\u00e9rence de presse qu\u2019ils tiendraient sur la Colline du Parlement lundi (25 mai), o\u00f9 ils exhorteraient le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral \u00e0 utiliser les pouvoirs de d\u00e9saveu, ce qui, selon lui, lui permettrait de passer outre l\u2019utilisation par le Qu\u00e9bec de la clause d\u00e9rogatoire.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Les gouvernements ne devraient pas \u00eatre en mesure de suspendre ind\u00e9finiment les libert\u00e9s fondamentales sans garanties constitutionnelles significatives\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dans un communiqu\u00e9. \u00ab\u00a0Le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral a \u00e0 la fois un r\u00f4le constitutionnel et une responsabilit\u00e9 morale de d\u00e9fendre les droits des citoyens canadiens lorsque ces droits sont menac\u00e9s.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Selon la Montreal Gazette<\/em>, le pouvoir de d\u00e9saveu n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 depuis 1943, et le ministre f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de la Justice, Sean Fraser, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019il n\u2019avait aucune intention de l\u2019invoquer.<\/p>

Joseph Cianflone a une exp\u00e9rience en soins de sant\u00e9 et en technologie, et est devenu chef du parti en 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le rassemblement \u00e0 Shawville faisait partie des efforts du parti pour \u00e9tendre sa port\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019approche des prochaines \u00e9lections. Il a ajout\u00e9 qu\u2019ils avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9pass\u00e9 le nombre de candidats qu\u2019ils avaient pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s lors des \u00e9lections pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes (20) et esp\u00e9raient doubler ce nombre.\u00a0<\/p>\n
