Onze \u00e9quipes ont parcouru L\u2019\u00cele-du-Grand-Calumet samedi pour la chasse au tr\u00e9sor annuelle organis\u00e9e par le Groupe L\u2019\u00cele-du-Grand-Calumet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Les \u00e9quipes ont visit\u00e9 sept sites, en r\u00e9alisant des activit\u00e9s con\u00e7ues pour aider les gens \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir l\u2019histoire et la nature de l\u2019\u00eele.\u00a0<\/p>\n

L\u2019organisatrice Guylaine La Salle a indiqu\u00e9 que le circuit comprenait deux nouveaux sites cette ann\u00e9e, dont le pavillon du cimeti\u00e8re Ste-Anne et les rapides Mountain, au pied de l\u2019\u00eele.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Au final, l\u2019\u00e9quipe Limonade Rose a remport\u00e9 le premier prix de 200 $, Chiro Pontiac a gagn\u00e9 150 $ pour la deuxi\u00e8me place, et Les Licornes Arc-en-Ciel a remport\u00e9 100 $ pour la troisi\u00e8me place.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mme La Salle s\u2019est dite ravie que deux des trois meilleures \u00e9quipes \u00e9taient compos\u00e9es de trois g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de r\u00e9sidents de l\u2019\u00cele \u2013 un aspect qu\u2019elle a soulign\u00e9 lorsqu\u2019on lui a demand\u00e9 pourquoi elle pensait que les \u00e9quipes revenaient \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement ann\u00e9e apr\u00e8s ann\u00e9e.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00ab C\u2019est la curiosit\u00e9 et le fait de faire quelque chose d\u2019amusant avec des amis et la famille \u00bb, a-t-elle d\u00e9clar\u00e9. \u00a0<\/p>\n

L\u2019argent recueilli lors de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement sera vers\u00e9 au projet \u00ab Honorez nos racines \u00bb du Groupe, un effort pour afficher 900 noms de personnes enterr\u00e9es dans le cimeti\u00e8re Ste-Anne.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Le groupe avait initialement pr\u00e9vu de cr\u00e9er une s\u00e9rie de petites plaques devant \u00eatre affich\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur du pavillon que le groupe a construit au cimeti\u00e8re l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. Mais Mme La Salle a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que leur strat\u00e9gie avait l\u00e9g\u00e8rement chang\u00e9 depuis qu\u2019ils avaient appris que le prix de l\u2019acier avait presque doubl\u00e9 en raison des r\u00e9cents tarifs douaniers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous faisons une grande plaque maintenant \u00bb, a-t-elle dit, expliquant qu\u2019elle comportera les 900 noms.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Elle a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 que le groupe manquait encore de 10 000 $ pour atteindre son objectif de collecte de fonds de 25 000 $, et esp\u00e8re que le concours de p\u00eache du groupe en ao\u00fbt les aidera \u00e0 se rapprocher de cet objectif et \u00e0 commencer l\u2019installation de la plaque.\u00a0<\/p>

Mme La Salle a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019elle n\u2019\u00e9tait pas s\u00fbre de proposer \u00e0 nouveau la chasse au tr\u00e9sor l\u2019ann\u00e9e prochaine en raison du vieillissement de la base de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, mais l\u2019augmentation du nombre d\u2019\u00e9quipes cette ann\u00e9e lui a donn\u00e9 l\u2019espoir que l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement pourrait survivre une ann\u00e9e de plus.\u00a0<\/p>\n
